Our little piano player
Funny story about the piano. Holland and I were visiting our cousins Kat and her little boy Samuel in Baton Rouge this summer. On one of our walks her neighbor stopped us and asked if we wanted a piano. I claimed it! Daniel was of course thrilled when I told him I got a free piano, the only catch was we had to drag it from Baton Rouge to Monroe. In the end it all worked out fine and Holland LOVES playing. One day she'll get lessons, until then we just play.

Holland loved playing in the sand in Orange Beach
This year has flown by
I cannot believe Daniel and I have a one year old. This past year has flown by. Just a little update with Holland, she started walking at 10 months, and started running shortly after that. She LOVES music. Anytime she hears music she stops what she's doing to dance. Sometimes I'll put her shoes on and she'll "tap dance" on the wood floor. It is too precious. She just got her 12 months shots last week and they are really doing a number on her. She's been running a little fever and just hasn't been feeling well the past two day. I'm very thankful I've been able to stay home with her.
As you may know, Louisiana was hit with hurricane Gustav this week. We are all fine, but I can't say the same for our nursing building at school. A new roof was supposed to be put on over the summer, but something happend and they didn't start until the day we started school. To make a long story short, the roof was incomplete and caved in during all of the wind and rain. It will take approximately a year to rebuild. Until then we've been lucky enough to find classrooms around campus to accomodate the whole school of nursing.
