MELMO!!!

I've really been enjoying these couple of days of mommy and Holland time. My break is over tomorrow, and I'm just not ready to go yet. Nonetheless, Holland and I were reading a book this morning about Elmo trying to find his way back to Sesame Street. All of a sudden Holland points at Elmo and says, "Melmo!!!" It was too cute. The book also had ducks in it and Holland told me that they say, "cack, cack, cack." It seems like yesterday that I was so worried that she was not ever going to talk. I love when she proves me wrong.

Caney Lake Adventure

Daniel and I decided it was time for a little get-a-way since we had just celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary, and I had just finished two tests that were not fun. We rented a cabin for the weekend at Caney Lake which is about and hour from our house. It was a nice trip. Holland loves it outside not having to worry about mommy telling her to come back here, you're getting too close to the road. She experienced her first fishing adventure which she wasn't so interested in. She loved being down on the dock (talk about a nervous mom) and playing with the squishy fish bait. Unfortunately it rained Saturday afternoon, but the cabin had a huge screened in porch we got to play on during the sprinkles. I've also decided that I am definately going to have a very large wood burning fireplace in my next house. We're back home now and I'm working away at more school projects (case studies...YUCK!) I hope you enjoy the pictures.

She's a little girl now.

Our baby is growing up. I cannot believe how fast time flies. In the third picture she was helping mommy make cookies. She's very good at baking. Second she is just being silly. She is silly most of the time. The first picture is our little princess this morning. She cocks her head to the side and says "cheese"! She's getting better and better at talking. She will say pretty much anything I ask her to say. Her favorite right now is "duck". When you ask, what does a duck say, she says "cack, cack, cack". She is too beautiful.
